Happy Birthday.. to me?

My Dad called around 4am in the morning and told me that he is outside the house to give me money. I was actually shocked to hear that, to think that it is his birthday, i should be the one giving something to him. Well he just told me to have a haircut since i look like a caveman na daw. haha! its actually funny but sweet at the same time because my dad tend to care for me nowadays.

Last week, he went to the house too to bring me a new pair of shoes. Since i told him that my old shoe needs repair because of the flood that i always get through when i go to school.

Its just amazing, that im having a good relationship with my father. I guess, there is always a time for everything, and the right time for us to have a healthy relationship has come :)

Thanks Daddy, Happy Birthday =)

the grocery... stuff.

I went to the grocery today with Fe with a single bill on my hand without even knowing what to buy. What i just know is, i have to buy stocks of food for two days. Nevertheless, i never thought that this trip would actually be one of my best trips to the grocery…

Just like I’ve said, i went to the grocery without even knowing what to buy. When i was walking towards the mall (since the mall is approximately 15 minutes from my house) i was thinking of buying a lot of food with nontheless, a single bill handed to me. I took the responsibility since i wasn’t that busy with school stuff and make-up stuff as well. I was ecstatic and feeling jolly to enter a big room full of nice stuffs. I remember, when i was a kid, i use to go to the grocery with my mom and i would be the one to push the carts in replacement of a bag of cheetos or lays.

Lays.. and Cheetos.. very yummy junk food indeed. But with a responsibility at hand, i never wanted to eat lays and cheetos for lunch nor supper. Usually, when a normal college student would go to a grocery, the first thing that she would get is either a bag of delicious junk food, a bar of decadent chocolate or anything that would satisfy his quench for hunger. I, was in another situation.

you see, practically, things and priorities do change. And now, i just experienced the so called “budgeting”. And my priority is to have enough food for 2 days for myself as well as for our household mates. I just realized that when you’re the one holding the money for the house, its a different thing since you are actually holding responsibility at your wrist.

I must say, my trip to the grocery today is very memorable for i, before didn’t imagine myself buying those kinds of stuff. Practically, a training for my future endeavor: leaving alone, literally :)

family's comfort.

When i woke up today, i decided to visit my mom and dad since i won’t be doing anything important today. I checked my facebook and stuff and then i left the house with nonetheless my charger and cap. I went to my mom’s place maybe around 1pm, just in time for a nice, warm lunch. My mom cooked Chicken Curry today for me. I always love my mom’s cooking since she had this wide array of taste. My dad was there too, i was just so happy to see my parents today! :)

I left their house around 7pm. My dad drove me home and gave me money for my haircut. Im alone once again, and i just realized how independent i’ve become after highschool. When i was in highschool, i couldn’t even think of myself being alone. But now, i manage to live on my own and eventhough im missing my family’s comfort once in awhile, this set up had helped me grow and nurture myself as well as understand the true meaning of family :)

Super Thanks to my MOM and DAD for being the best mom and dad in the world! =)
