My first cover is from the first magazine that trusted me—- GARAGE MAGAZINE :)
Edlene called me one sunday afternoon asking me if im free for a cover shoot for Garage and ofcourse i said yes, knowing that this would be my first magazine cover— what i wished for graduation!
I was so happy that time, i couldnt control my emotions, i was smiling all the time to my client, and she was happy about it too. I got so inspired with my client and debutant that time! :)
So anyway, come monday— the day of the cover shoot, mycke and i have 3 jobs that day: 2 clients and a shoot. Our first stop was at sofitel for a graduation and the 2nd one was at UP diliman for UP Law. We got at the location, Elorde Boxing Stadium in Shaw at around 1pm. The first model was there already. It was so hot at the location (duh, its a boxing stadium haha)
The Ed Team arrived around 130 and we started the grooming.
For this issue, Rookie Season: The Ed team decided to cover the winning Azkals, The phil rugby team and some model athletes. I did 5 heads (assigned by the ed in chief) I was actually happy to work with Jake Galvez as well. We were both assigned to do the grooming while mycke did the hairstyling.
It was a fast shoot— considering the number of layouts. I got the chance to work again with new york based photographer Lope Navo. He’s super good and light to work with too.
I dont have a copy of the magazine yet. Ill take some shots of the inside story once i got a hold of it :)
